1C
Welcome to 1C
Dear Parents/Guardians
Here is some information for you about your child's class arrangements this term. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact me at the school by phoning the main office or emailing Mrs Ellis - EllisA74@hwbcymru.net
You will find further important information about the class and about the organisation of the school in the school handbook which is on the school website and on Google Classrooms.
- PE will be on a Monday. Your child will need suitable clothes for the lessons. Please send your child to school in PE clothes. Please see the school handbook for the correct dress code.
- Your child will need a raincoat and wellies to keep them in school as we are going to use the outside area regularly. Remember to put your child's name on them clearly.
- Please could your child bring in a drink bottle, with their name on, daily. This will be kept in the class and they will have access to drink water on request. As we are a healthy school we request you only provide water in their drinks bottle.
- We provide the children with a selection of snacks to have as their daily snack. We ask kindly if you could you send in the money into school for the half term towards the cost of the snack. (£1.50 a week)
- Please could you provide a spare set of clothing in case of accidents to keep in school. This should include underwear and socks.
- Please inform us if there is any change in the people who may be collecting your child, or if they are not going home on the bus for any reason.
- Optional thematic Homework Mat can be found on Google Classrooms. We ask you kindly to help your child to complete the task within the half term.
- Your child will bring letters/words or a reading book home with him/her on a Friday. We kindly ask you to return the homework in a homework bag on a Tuesday. We can then read with your child in class and give new sets of letters/ words or change your child’s reading book. Will you please review letters/ words or listen to your child reading and sign the blue record book.
- Remember to follow us on Twitter @gwaelod. You might recognise someone!
We are looking forward to welcoming your child to 1C this year.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Mrs Anwen Ellis and Mrs Julie Earles
We have uploaded some of the Tric a Chlic reading books and the Oxford Reading Tree reading scheme so that Welsh reading can continue anytime at home. Hope this will be of help.
