Croeso i Ysgol Gynradd Gwaelod y Garth. Mae dewis yr ysgol iawn yn hanfodol bwysig ac mae pob un ohonom am sicrhau’r addysg orau un i'n plant. Rydym am wneud yn siwr bod eich plentyn yn hapus, yn ddiogel ac yn cael ei ysbrydoli yn ein hysgol. Rwy'n hynod falch o fod yn Bennaeth Gwaelod y Garth ac arwain tîm o staff ymroddedig a brwdfrydig sy'n rhoi anghenion ein plant yn gyntaf. Ein nod fel ysgol yw darparu'r safonau addysg a chefnogaeth uchaf posibl i'n holl ddisgyblion lle mae gan bob disgybl ac aelod o'r tîm gyfleoedd niferus i gyflawni a rhagori ar ei botensial lle nad oes nenfwd.

Rydym yn ysgol ffrwd ddeuol, sy'n darparu addysg i'w disgyblion trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg neu’r Saesneg yn dibynnu ar ddewis rhieni. Mae'r cydweithrediad rhwng yr unedau Cymraeg a Saesneg yn nodwedd unigryw o'r ysgol a rhoddir statws a phwysigrwydd cyfartal i'r ddwy iaith.

Ein bwriad fel ysgol yw cyflwyno cwricwlwm arloesol yr 21ain Ganrif a fydd yn ysbrydoli ein disgyblion ac yn eu helpu i ddatblygu i fod yn ddysgwyr uchelgeisiol, mentrus, egwyddorol a hyderus gydol oes.

Mae cymuned yr ysgol yn rhan annatod ac unigryw o ethos Gwaelod y Garth a chredwn yn gryf mai'r ffordd orau o ddarparu addysg yw trwy bartneriaeth lwyddiannus rhwng y cartref, yr ysgol a'r gymuned leol. Gyda chymorth rhieni, rydym am feithrin cariad at ddysgu ac arfogi pob plentyn â'r cyfarpar sydd ei angen arno i lwyddo mewn bywyd.

Welcome to Gwaelod y Garth Primary School. Choosing the right school is vitally important and we all want the very best education for our children. We want your child to be happy, safe and to feel inspired in our school. I am extremely proud to be Headteacher of Gwaelod y Garth and lead a team of committed and enthusiastic staff who put the needs of our children first. As a school we aim to provide the highest possible standards of education and support for all our pupils where every pupil and member of the team have ample opportunities to fulfil and exceed their potential where there is no ceiling.

We are a dual stream school, which provides its pupils with education through the medium of Welsh or English depending on parental choice. The collaboration between the Welsh and English units is a unique feature of the school and equal status and importance is given to both languages.

As a school we aim to deliver an innovative 21st Century curriculum which will inspire our pupils and help them develop into ambitious, enterprising, ethical and confident lifelong learners.

The school community is an integral and unique part of Gwaelod y Garth’s ethos and we strongly believe that education is best provided through a successful partnership between home, school and the local community. With the help of parents, we want to nurture a love of learning and equip every child with the tools they need to succeed in life.
